Choosing Your Toothbrush Wisely

Your toothbrush is a vital tool in maintaining good oral hygiene. It’s important you select your brush wisely, considering not only the immediate benefits but also the long-term health of your teeth and gums.

There are a variety of toothbrush options out there, but soft-bristled toothbrushes are the best options to keep your smile bright and clean. This allows for gentle cleansing of your teeth without inflicting hard scrubbing and possible long-term damage such as receding gums and enamel loss.

Brushing your teeth helps to prevent bacteria, and so does replacing your toothbrush. It is recommended that after three months of use, you change out your toothbrush for a new one.

Our new range includes toothbrushes for children aged 2-6, children 6+ and adult. The toothpaste also comes in a variety of flavours and concentrations for different ages.

Our toothbrush range is designed with versatility in mind. The child’s toothbrush, featuring the same soft bristles as our full-sized adult brush, comes with a smaller head that may suit some adults.

However, the best reason to buy them is that all the proceeds will stay in Australia to fund our programs for vulnerable and at-risk groups. As a not-for-profit and registered charity, all funds generated go back to our oral health and education programs for:

• young people aged 2 to 18 – our FREE My School Dentist Program
• aged care residents – Aged Care Program
• people living with homelessness
• remand prisoners
• children under care of the Department of Child Protection
• refugee and migrant children who do not qualify for Medicare
• Other at-risk Australians, through our special projects
